Dining hall and Imaterem
The place where we eat and have the biggest parties. Our meals are never quiet: we sing, we dance, we chant cheers and of course pray together at the end of the meals.
Accommodates 6-8 people, equipped with own bathroom and toilet.

We provide 24 hours of medical care in the duration of the sessions.
Here is where our campers learn all the camp songs, but also is gives place to many of our camp programs. You can support the camp with gifting musical instruments.
Arts and crafts
Home to the arts and creativity. There is painting, gluing, decorating, folding, laughter and fun. Many memories and gifts are created in this room. You can support the camp with gifting different kind of arts and craft equipment.
The pier of the camp, where the younger kids leave from for a boat trip and older kids visit to canoe. The pier cannot be used without proper supervision. You can support the canoeing programs with gifting the camp new canoes.
An indoor sports hall which also gives home to whole camp activities.
A covered building which gives home to many camp programs and is also a popular meeting point. Anyone who wants can play a little ping-pong here, thus the name. You can support our sport enthusiast with gifting the camp new sporting equipment.
One of the most popular program in camp. You can support the camp with gifting different water games, swimming aids and equipment. Can only be used with proper supervision.
Beit David and the synagogue
In the Beit David you can find many different activity rooms and our synagogue too. After WW2 this was the first synagogue to be build in Hungary, which is equipped with it’s own Torah scroll. We offer opportunity to pray three times a day. During the sessions there is a religious leader in camp. You can support the camp with gifting Jewish books and different religious equipment.
This themed room which campers visit as a part of the daily activities is where they learn more about Israel. The program is led by an Israeli counselor and using informal methods they learn about the country, its history, society culture and many more.
Two outdoor grassy football field. This is the second most popular place in camp, after the swimming pool. You can support our sport enthusiast with gifting the camp new sporting equipment.

Beach volleyball court

Our campers can challenge themselves on two of our smaller climbing walls. Can only be used under proper supervision!
An outdoor concrete court, where you always find someone shoot hoops.
Team building games on the ground and sometimes also a bit higher. Can only be used under proper supervision!
There are multiple fire pits in the camp which is a popular program location used for evening programs under the supervision of staff. Camp fire, guitar, singing, s’mores...
OUR SERVICES – WHAT WE GIVE
The campers are housed in constantly improving, modern houses, in a high-quality, well-equipped and safe environment.
The campers receive kosher food four times a day. At Szarvas we are proud to say that no one goes hungry; they can always receive more! There is also a snacks kiosk inside the camp, which is closed during all the mealtimes and on Shabbat.
We provide a range of learning opportunities delivered through, fun and informal methods including Jewish Bookshelf, Resource Center, etc., as well as team building games and activities that stimulate learning of a different kind.
During camp we offer many sports and leisure activities according to the age group of the campers, including: canoeing, cycling, basic and advanced challenge parks, climbing wall, zip-line, visiting the botanic garden, hiking and, for the youngest age groups a boat cruise.
There are a number of sport facilities at the campsite, including tennis, basketball and volleyball, as well as a ping-pong hall and indoor sports arena, which campers can use under professional supervision. Sports equipment can also be borrowed for use in free time.
There is a swimming pool at the campsite that campers can use in groups, during structured program time. A lifeguard is always present and the group leaders are also there to ensure safety and order.
We ensure around-the-clock medical service on camp, with a doctor always present.
Other fun activities
During the 12 days of the sessions, our Szarvas campers learn songs and dances and celebrate their birthdays together on camp. Sometimes we sing “Happy birthday” to them in ten different languages!
